Tile trends to keep an eye out for in 2021

As we approach a new year filled with optimism, Bernard Arnull has identified a selected number of new trends to look out for in 2021.

Engineered wood effect porcelain tiles have grown in popularity in recent years for their realism and easy maintenance, and this trend is set to continue with a vintage parquet laying pattern lent to by slim plank sized tiles (160 x 1000mm shown in the image below – ref. Just Life Collection

There is an anticipation in 2021 that following on from the neutral colour palettes seen prominently over the last 5 years, there will be an increase in the harmonisation of bolder colours with the experimentation in tile shapes and texture. This may include the use of hexagonal, octagonal and triangle shaped tiles.

Bathroom plans for 2021? The use of Majolica, Cement, and Terrazzo combines elegantly adding artistic shape to smaller rooms, giving the environment greater depth in making the space feel ‘roomier’.
