CERSAIE 2019

Last week saw some interesting new ceramic surface coverings showcased at the annual CERSAIE exhibition in Bologna, with products from over 800 manufacturers from 40 countries exhibited.

A wide range of diverse trends took the spotlight with focus on shapes and new technologies, in addition to new styles and trends. With manufacturers continually raising the bar by introducing new tile products including 12mm thick porcelain with an emphasis on fabrication of kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, and tables.

Tile sizes continue to evolve with full-size porcelain slabs increasing in variety featuring new patterns, colours and textures, with increased opportunity to personalise slabs.

Traditional styles featured heavily with the technological advancement of porcelain terrazzo, taking inspiration from the authentic classic 18th century styles. 1950’s wallpaper styles also made their mark at the show with highly defined prints and textures on porcelain.

Art decor styles were heavily visible in standard formats, creating symmetry and dazzling geometric effects in some cases.

We look forward to introducing new products to market, on trend in readiness for the latest architectural interior designs.
