Porcelain tiles have developed hugely over the last few years, with bigger sizes and ever more exciting finishes adding to the range. It is now possible to supply many different finishes in a huge range of sizes, from 150 x 150mm to 1200 x 600mm. The latest sizes include 1200x1200mm and 900x450mm, whilst new production techniques are allowing porcelain tiles to be manufactured in 4mm thickness with consequent savings in fixing and transport costs.
Natural stone effect tiles are particularly useful in that they perfectly reproduce the feel of natural materials with the added benefit of ease of installation and maintenance. Matt, honed, polished and rustic finishes are available in many ranges to suit each individual installation.
Matching cove, bull-nose and step tiles are available for many of our ranges.
Slip-Resistance is becoming more and more important in choice of tile, and we can advise which ranges have the best slip-resistance to match your particular need, though it must be borne in mind that the more anti-slip a tile, the harder it is to clean. We also have specific non-slip functional ranges for kitchens and commercial ‘wet’ areas.
In addition to the above we also market a range of conglomerate marble tiles which give a further option to specifiers, and which avoid the problems of shade inherent in natural materials.
